I have been a doll collector for many years. Since my university days, I have rescued collector dolls from charity shops here in the UK – I don’t buy them new if I can help it. Each doll represents a donation. I now have 54 porcelain dolls, a number of which are from the Leonardo Collection.
As the author of an ongoing series of novels about Morgan le Fay, I have recently begun adding Morgan dolls to my collection. These I can’t find in charity shops, so I’m having to get them via eBay. I have three so far, with two on the way.
First up is the stunning Franklin Mint Heirloom Camelot Series doll in a gorgeous burgundy and gold gown with embellished sleeves, a jewelled headdress, long flowing curly auburn hair, and green eyes.

She is holding the Holy Grail chalice.

Here she is from the side.

Next up is Mattel’s Barbie version of Morgan le Fay. She is dressed in earthy colours, brown and dark red, with a shimmering gold veil and sparkling gold chain decorated with stars and orbs.

As you can see, she is stunningly beautiful and has a fantastic Celtic look, with henna-tinted dark hair, blue eyes, dramatic make-up, and elegant jewels.

She is one of a pair, with Ken as Merlin. They both look great!

Finally (at least for now), there is the Morgan doll from Robin Woods’ 1988 Camelot Castle Collection. This Morgan is wearing a wonderfully ornate gold gown, together with a burgundy and gold jacquard cloak trimmed with feathers. Inside the black bag she is carrying is the Holy Grail chalice and her crystal ball.

She has very long dark hair in a plait (braid) with a gold sequinned headdress and violet eyes.

There are two more Morgan dolls on their way – I’ll post pictures of them when I get them.
In the meantime, I’m looking for another Morgan le Fay doll that I know exists but can’t find at present. She was made by the amazingly talented doll creator Cheryl Crawford and there are a few images online, but she doesn’t seem to be available to buy anywhere.

If anyone knows anything about this or any other Morgan le Fay doll and where I might be able to get them, do please get in touch and let me know. Thanks!
